Yeeha meat

Today is the first day of the Meat Challenge!  WOOP WOOP MEAT MEAT MEAT!  Whew I feel better now.  I feel excited, energized, excellent.  Last night I cooked up these babies:

I just put them in a pan an fried them with bacon grease, yeah BACON GREASE, gettcha some Whoo!  Anyway, above you see the before and here you see the during picture, they all didn't fit in the one pan so I cooked in two batches.  That is a cast iron skillet that I like to use for cooking almost everything meat related.

So there it is in all it's minute steak glory.  These are pretty lean cuts of meat, thin so they cook quickly and tenderized by the locker where they were processed.  They are cheap if you purchase them, mine came from the family farm, and they taste good plain.  This particular beef is from a Hereford/Red Angus cross that was grass fed in good old Iowa.

So there you have it, breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.  It was about 1.5lbs prior to cooking and I will let you know if that is enough.  Tonight I am preparing just a roast, no vegetables, so lets see how that turns out.
